"This isn't over. It won't end with me."
The Dark Lord's final words were quite ominous, but people came to see them as a sign of how full of himself the old man had been. They chose not to heed the warning behind the words and to, instead, take it all as a joke. They were sadly mistaken about Voldemort's potential for posthumous terror. Those were worries of the past.
Unfortunately for them, a legacy of horrible things was not the only things that Tom Riddle left behind. After performing a spell to return him to his gorgeous glory, he impregnated a woman with twins. His mistress died just days after the birth of her children. Fearing for her children's safety and knowing it wouldn't be long before the Order tracked her down, she made a heart-wrenching decision. She entrusted the boy to a promenient Death Eater family, and hours before her death, she managed to give the girl over safely to an orphanage. She wanted at least one of her babies to be as far from the fighting as possible. If the Order found out about them, there would hell to pay.
At the same time, Ginny Potter was giving birth to her own set of twins. Amidst the joy of the Dark Lord's defeat and the birth of his children, Harry Potter didn't think anything in his life could go wrong. He found out how horribly incorrect he was when his wife was cornered by Death Eaters and killed while shopping. Harry remarried after a few months. It seemed that he had moved on, but Harry Potter would never be the same.
Other families had their own exciting occurences. Don't even get me started on Viktor Krum and Romilda Vane. Those tales could fill a book. For the most part however, things were fairly calm. Now it's 2020, and no one can deny that Hogwarts has changed. Students are too caught up in their own lives to realize their is a storm brewing. The Death Eaters know though, for their children have created a resistance. Family loyalties mean as much to people as they ever have. We can't be blamed. We were Born Like This.
