Locksley Preparatory Academy has been known for producing the finest men and women that society has to offer. Dozens of elite youngsters are sent here by their parents for nine months a year so that they may be molded and honned into what can only described as well-bred and dignified. It is no easy task to enter it's hallowed grounds. One must either have the financial advantage, an above than average intellect or impressive family connections.
The Goslings are by far the richest and most prominent family that Winthrop has to offer. Their lineage can be traced back to the original settlers of the colony and have been rich longer as they have been there. Their family has been in Locksley since it's establishment and that is saying a lot. They are also one of the primier benefactors of the school and thus are very important to its functioning.
The Davenports
The only family that has ever rivaled the Goslings in power and prestige is the family of the Davenports. Also coming from old money, the Davenports never bowed down to the 'Gosling Superiority' and thus has an on going fued with them. Davenports have never been known to be subtle. They show no inkling of backing down in the fight.
The Hunts
The Hunts are a wealthy family that moved from England not some ten years ago. They are known to be one of the finest wine conossieurs in both Europe and America. Aside from their extensive vineyards in Italy, they also own quite a number in the Napa Valley, thus the very reason why its children are in Locksley. The patriarch of the Hunt family dumped his children in the Academy in hopes that they will be well taken care of in his increasingly often absence.
The Worthingtons
The Worthingtons are, by far, the culture center of Winthrop. Because of their multiple connections in the Arts and the World of fashion, members of this family are known to be the most prim and elegant ladies around. Yes, the Worthingtons have always been famous for its well mannered ladies, often called the trophy wives of their time.
[/ul]Boston is not as quaint and tranquil as everyone thought it to be. Everything in Locksley revolves around family connections. You either sink or swim in this school, but you never get out of the water. This is far from the real world. This is Locksley. [/size][/font]
